Frequently Asked Questions

Health coaching is a collaborative, client-driven process designed to support long-term, sustainable behavioral changes aligned with your personal wellness goals. Rooted in trust and guided by your values, it creates a safe space to reconnect with yourself, gain clarity, and explore new ways forward. Health coaching isn’t about curing, it’s about meeting you where you are, uncovering what’s possible, and supporting you as you grow. This kind of gradual transformation is built step by step. It begins with goal setting that reflects your unique interests and preferences. From there, thought-provoking questions spark fresh insights and new perspectives, helping you navigate roadblocks and move beyond blind spots. Over time, this process helps you build the habits, awareness, and consistency needed to feel more in control of your health to feel your best.

Yes, health coaching is evidence-based. It’s built on research-supported methods, theories, frameworks, and modalities, that have been shown to effectively drive behavior change and improve health outcomes. Studies demonstrate its impact in reducing risk factors and supporting individuals with ongoing health challenges and chronic conditions looking to enhance their overall well-being.

Sessions vary between 30-60 minutes. Each session has a natural flow. We start by checking in and setting the scene: What’s on your mind? What would feel most helpful to explore today? From there, we dive into the heart of the session, where we untangle ideas, uncover insights, and come up with fresh possibilities. We finish with meaningful action steps, a feel-good wrap-up, and a quick look ahead at the calendar as we book your next session.

Yes! I offer virtual supportive group sessions held once per quarter. Each group call focuses on a different wellness theme, like boosting energy, nourishing your body, or managing stress, and offers a chance to learn, reflect, and connect with others in a relaxed, encouraging space. Topics change throughout the year. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, feel free to reach out to join the waitlist and be the first to hear when the next session opens

At this time, health coaching is not covered by insurance. However, you may be able to use your FSA or HSA to cover the cost. You will need to consult your plan administrator to confirm eligibility and request a Letter of Medical Necessity from your physician to be reimbursed.

Both PayPal and credit card are accepted through the booking app. If you want to save ~4% you can pay via Zelle(carewithflarecoaching@gmail.com) or Venmo (@Carewithflare).

Yes! At Care with Flare, anyone interested in learning more about the services begins with a free intro call. It’s the first step, a chance to talk about what you’re looking for, get a feel for what coaching is all about, and see if it feels like a good fit.

Rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance, and a cancellation fee applies if a session is canceled without notice. This policy helps ensure fair availability and respect for everyone’s time.

I work with individuals navigating a variety of autoimmune and chronic health conditions, such as IBS/IBD, PCOS, Diabetes, Lyme Disease, Hashimoto’s, Epilepsy, Migraines, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Elevated BMI, to name a few. That said, you don’t need a specific diagnosis to work with me, I’m comfortable supporting a wide range of needs.

At the heart of my work, I help clients build sustainable habits and routines that truly work for them, so they can feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their health and overall well-being. This may involve setting realistic daily or weekly goals around stress management, navigating major life transitions, and creating a more supportive work-life balance.  It often includes finding an exercise routine one can genuinely enjoy and can stay consistent with, strengthening the mind-body connection, improving energy and mood, and developing a more supportive mindset. Other areas we might focus on include building more intentional and supportive self-care practices, making healthier eating choices, improving relationships, and getting better quality sleep. That being said, we may also take a step back to look at the bigger picture, helping you stay on top of routine doctor visits and blood work, while finding the right healthcare team so you feel fully supported to live your best life and truly thrive.

Think of it as lifestyle design work: you get guidance, structure, and support to move forward confidently, while also developing habits and systems that help you maintain your wellness long-term.
