Frequently Asked Questions
So what is Health Coaching?
Health coaching is a collaborative, client-driven process designed to support long-term, sustainable behavioral changes aligned with your personal wellness goals. Rooted in trust and guided by your values, it creates a safe space to reconnect with yourself, gain clarity, and explore new ways forward. Health coaching isn’t about curing, it’s about meeting you where you are, uncovering what’s possible, and supporting you as you grow. This kind of supportive transformation is built step by step. It begins with goal setting that reflects your unique interests and preferences. From there, thought-provoking questions spark fresh insights and new perspectives, helping you navigate roadblocks and move beyond blind spots
Is Health Coaching evidence-based?
Yes, health coaching is evidence-based. It’s built on research-supported strategies that have been shown to effectively drive behavior change and improve health outcomes. Studies demonstrate its impact in reducing risk factors and supporting individuals with ongoing health challenges and chronic conditions looking to enhance their overall well-being.
What does a typical session look like?
Sessions vary between 30-60 minutes. Each session has a natural flow-a beginning, middle, and end. We start by checking in and setting the scene: What’s on your mind? What would feel most helpful to explore today? From there, we dive into the heart of the session, where we untangle ideas, uncover insights, and come up with fresh possibilities. We finish with meaningful action steps, a feel-good wrap-up, and a quick look ahead at the calendar as we book your next session.
Do you offer group sessions?
Yes! I offer virtual supportive group sessions held once per quarter. Each group call focuses on a different wellness theme, like boosting energy, nourishing your body, or managing stress, and offers a chance to learn, reflect, and connect with others in a relaxed, encouraging space. Topics change throughout the year. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, feel free to reach out to join the waitlist and be the first to hear when the next session opens
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, health coaching is not covered by insurance. However, you may be able to use your FSA or HSA to cover the cost. You will need to consult your plan administrator to confirm eligibility and request a Letter of Medical Necessity from your physician to be reimbursed.
What are my payment options
Both PayPal and credit card are accepted through the booking app. If you want to save ~4% you can pay via Zelle(carewithflarecoaching@gmail.com) or Venmo (@Carewithflare).
Is there a way to see if this is a good fit before paying for a session?
Yes! At Care with Flare, anyone interested in learning more about the services begins with a free intro call. It’s the first step, a chance to talk about what you’re looking for, get a feel for what coaching is all about, and see if it feels like a good fit. If you like what you hear, then you can book your free first session on the house!
What is your policy for rescheduling and cancelations?
Rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance, and a cancellation fee applies if a session is canceled without notice. This policy helps ensure fair availability and respect for everyone’s time.
What types of chronic conditions or experiences have you worked with? Do you feel comfortable supporting a range of needs?
I’ve worked with women across a wide range of experiences, including those navigating digestive disorders, hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), postpartum transitions, ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, body image challenges and disordered eating. I’ve also spoken with and supported women navigating chronic pain, depression, migraines, PCOS, Hashimoto’s, infertility, diabetes, and Lyme disease.
That said, you don’t need to fit into a specific category to work with me. As a wellness coach, I don’t diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions, that’s your healthcare provider’s role. My work focuses on helping you gain clarity around what you’d like to improve, tap into your strengths and existing resources, and help you move from where you are now to where you want to be, in a way that feels doable and realistic for your life.
Can I work with you if I do not have a chronic condition
Absolutely! While Care with Flare has a special focus on supporting women with chronic conditions, it’s not a requirement to work together. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, find clarity, eat better, sleep more soundly, or simply level up your lifestyle, Care with Flare is here to support you. At its core, this work is about creating personalized routines, habits, and mindset shifts that fit your life, wherever you’re starting from.
